Boars Head Resort: Live music and food trucks with dinner available at the Millroom Restaurant. Fireworks are at dusk.  Please note that event parking passes are sold out!!  (boarsheadresort.com)

Chile’s Orchard on Carter Mountain: Country and Rockabilly music with the James 3 Band, Food Trucks & an incredible view from above to see area fireworks.  (There will be no fireworks at the venue.)  Open 5:30-9:30. (chilesfamilyorchards.com)

Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello: New citizen naturalization ceremony at 9:00 AM with keynote speaker ballerina, author, and philanthropist  Missy Copeland.  There will be music, concessions, children’s activities, wine tastings, and the Community Partner Tent before and after the event.  Musical performances include the Charlottesville Band, Charlottesville Opera, Old Line Fife and Drum Corps, and The Virginia Consort   Parking is at PVCC with shuttle busses running regularly to Monticello. This is a free event but registration is required! (Monticello.org)

Albemarle:

Crozet: Firemen’s parade at 5:00PM followed by celebration at Kings Mountain Vineyards.  There will be music and food and a fireworks display at 9:30.  (cca.avenue.org)

Scottsville:  Scottsville Fire Department starts the day’s events with a Parade at 9am and wraps up the evening with their presentation of fireworks at dusk.  There will be a morning Vendor’s Market plus, later, food and beverage vendors and live music all at the Farmer’s Market Pavillion. Greene:

Stanardsville & Ruckersville: Begins at 10 AM with a parade down Main Street in Stanardsville. Fireworks will take place later in the evening with music, entertainment and concessions from 3:30 and 10 PM at Morris Field in Ruckersville which is across Route 33 from Ruckersville Elementary School.  Morris Filed gates will open at 3:00 PM. Parking is limited. Once parking areas are full, no additional vehicles will be admitted.   There are nearby parking lots where you should be able to watch the fireworks from.  (rwbng.org)

Madison:

Syria: July 4th at Graves Mountain Farm & Lodges.  Madison County will provide the fireworks at approximately 9-9:15.  The event last from 4 to the end of the fireworks with free music, pony rides and a craft show.  Picnic lunches and a buffet dinner will be available from the Lodge.  (gravesmountain.com)

Nelson County:

Arrington: Fireworks by the Lovingston Volunteer fire Company at the “Stars & Spurs” festival at Oak Ridge Farm.  The Fireworks are free for all.  Stars & Spurs is a large ticketed event featuring music, markets and lots of “cowboy” type and other events.  (facebook.com) (stars-spurs.com)

Wintergreen: Wintergreen Resort is having their annual “July Jubilee” Saturday July 6 with music, food, a small crafts show and fireworks at 9:30 PM.  Paid chairlift rides are offered.  There is no note as to any charge for the event itself.  (wintergreenresort.com)

Orange:

Town of Orange: The Playin’ in the Park Independence Celebration will be held Wednesday, July 3, at Booster Park.  The park opens at 5:00. Entertainment begins at 6:00 with live music, food vendors and more.  Fireworks will be at dark. You may bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited. Pets must be leashed. Parking is limited!
